You can! Just press the Lungo button once with no capsule inside to rinse your machine from past residue. Proceed with pressing the Lungo button twice with a teapsule inside for a full cup of tea (220ml).

This is the case for aluminium and plastic capsules, but our capsules are 100% made from plants and 100% home-compostable. They are as natural as the herbs themselves, decomposing in the same time frame as an orange peel and becoming fertiliser for the soil.

Even though herbs do typically require 7-9 minutes for brewing, we replace time with pressure. The combination of Nespresso’s pressure (19 bars) and lower temperature (80 degrees Celsius) allows for a deep yet delicate extraction of flavour.
